Today we turn the corner towards Christmas. Today the Church begins to pray the Great O Antiphons.
There are many wonderful resources for the O Antiphons all over the internet.
If you want an easy activity, you can download and print my O Antiphon coloring pages.
I’ve also made a one page printout to make it simple to remember and pray these prayers.
If you are looking for more detail check out Jennifer Miller’s excellent post Praying the O Antiphons, which also includes a beautiful prayer companion.

Many of us are feeling hearts of sorrow right now. Recent tragic events, personal trials, a world suffering –as it will until the return of Christ– can leave us deflated in what we know should be a season of joy. Now is the time to draw inward and ponder in our hearts the coming of Christ. To take the time –it only takes a few moments– to pray with the Church and cry out in longing for the Messiah.
May you be greatly blessed in this holy season.
